Learning Thai Table Massage

I love learning. Over the past year I have been blessed with the opportunity to learn Thai Table massage from two different sources. Thai massage is different than every other form of massage that I have learned. I have heard some people refer to Thai Massage as “Lazy Mans Yoga” and, while I have never done yoga myself, I have seen others do it and I can see why they call it that. Thai massage involves lots of stretching and lengthening of muscles. While it can be relaxing the client ends up moving much more than in a Swedish massage for example. The way that muscles are addressed leads it to be a very unique session. One where most of my clients stay dressed

I was able to learn from great teachers in the world of Thai massage. One was Magnus Eklund; he came from Mississippi in 2025 and taught me some foundations, origin behind thai massage and I came away with a good understanding of the roots of the massage and how to perform a basic level. The other I learned from Shai Plonski an educator from California who came to an AMTA conference that AMTA AL chapter put on in April 2026. Both taught Thai table massage; however, both taught from unique points of view deriving from their experience which allowed both to be complimentary and not redundant. Giving me the chance to see things in a new point of view.

I am happy to have been able to learn from these educators and to offer this service to my clients.
